the craft behind the furniture

Craftsmanship That's Lived With, Not Just Looked At

Long before Shree Radhika Furniture became a name Rajkot recognised, it was a small family workshop where every board was cut by hand and every joint tested by eye before it ever left the floor. That workshop is still the heart of what we do. The senior karigars who trained under our founders now train the next generation the same way — not from a manual, but by standing next to a young craftsman until a dovetail joint, a hand-rubbed polish or a curved armrest meets a standard that's been non-negotiable for nine years. Machines have joined the process since then, but the judgement that decides whether a piece is ready to leave the workshop still comes from people who've spent years learning what "good enough" actually means.

Every project starts with the wood, not the drawing. We work primarily in solid sheesham and select teak, sourced from suppliers we've dealt with for years specifically because their timber is graded and seasoned properly — not because it's the cheapest lot available that week. Freshly cut wood that hasn't been dried long enough will warp, crack or loosen at the joints within a year or two of daily use, so every batch that enters our workshop is checked for moisture content before it's approved for cutting. For engineered pieces, we use marine or BWR-grade ply rather than lower grades, because a wardrobe or kitchen unit in a Gujarat summer needs to survive heat and humidity, not just look good on delivery day.

Precision and craft aren't opposites in our workshop — they work together. CNC cutting gives us consistent, accurate panels and repeatable joinery, which matters when a wardrobe has fourteen identical shelf brackets that all need to line up. But the parts a machine can't judge — how a drawer glides once it's loaded, whether a mortise-and-tenon joint sits flush without gaps, how a curved edge feels under your hand — are still finished and checked manually, by someone running their palm along every edge before it's approved for polishing. It's slower than running everything through a machine end to end, but it's the difference between furniture that photographs well and furniture that still closes smoothly after five years of daily use.

Finishing is where most furniture either earns its price or fails to justify it, so we treat it as its own discipline rather than a last step. Depending on the piece, that means multiple coats of matte, gloss or natural wood-grain polish, each one sanded back before the next is applied, with enough drying time between coats that the finish cures properly instead of just looking dry. Before anything is packed for delivery, it goes through a checklist covering hardware movement, joint strength, surface finish and, for seating, a weight and flex test — because a sofa frame that creaks in the showroom will only get worse once it's carrying a family's actual daily use. Anything that doesn't clear that checklist goes back to the workshop floor, not out the door.

We don't market ourselves as an eco-friendly brand, but durability has always been our version of sustainability. A wardrobe or dining table built to survive fifteen years of real use keeps far more wood out of a landfill than three cheaper replacements bought over the same period, and that's the standard we build to by default, not as an upsell. Offcuts and smaller sections of good timber are reused for drawer bases, backing panels and smaller fittings wherever they can be, rather than discarded, and we'd rather quote you honestly on a slightly longer lead time than rush a piece through to hit a delivery date it isn't ready for. It's a slower way to run a furniture business, but it's the reason pieces we made years ago are still in the homes we made them for.

Every Piece Customized To Your Space

Catalogue furniture is built for an average room, an average family and an average budget — and your home is none of those things. That's why nothing we make for you leaves our workshop until it's been shaped around your actual measurements, your preferred materials and the way your household really lives. A wardrobe isn't just "large" or "small" here; it's built to the exact millimetre of the wall it's going against, with the number of shelves, drawers and hanging space you asked for. A sofa isn't picked off a shelf; its frame, cushioning and fabric are chosen to match how firm you like to sit and how much daily wear it needs to survive. Whether you're furnishing one room or an entire home, our design and production team walks you through every decision below, so the furniture that arrives is unmistakably yours.

01

Wood & Material

Solid sheesham, teak veneers, engineered ply or a mix — picked to match your budget, the room's humidity and how heavy the daily use will be.

02

Finish & Polish

Matte, gloss, natural wood-grain or painted lacquer finishes, colour-matched to your walls, flooring and the rest of your furniture.

03

Fabric & Upholstery

Sofas, beds and chairs upholstered in the fabric, leatherette or leather of your choice, in a colour that actually works with your space.

04

Size & Layout

Every wardrobe, bed and unit is measured and built to your room's exact dimensions — awkward corners and low ceilings included, not just standard sizes.

05

Storage & Function

Drawer counts, shelf heights, hidden storage and shutter styles configured around what you actually need to store, not a generic template.

06

Hardware & Fittings

Soft-close hinges, channel handles, gas-lift mechanisms and locks upgraded or swapped to match durability and budget preferences.

Talk To An Interior Expert First

Most interior projects go wrong at the very beginning — a budget agreed before anyone has actually seen the room, or a design finalised without checking if it will survive daily use. We'd rather you skip that risk entirely. Before any quote or design is put in front of you, we get on a call, a WhatsApp chat or a site visit with someone from our design team who can ask the right questions: how many people use this room, what's already staying, what your timeline looks like, and what "done" should actually feel like for you. There's no pressure and no obligation — connect with us in whichever way is easiest, and we'll take it from there.

Call Our Design Desk

Speak directly with our interior team about your room sizes, budget and timeline. No call centre, no scripts — just people who've planned hundreds of homes talking you through what's possible.

WhatsApp Photos Of Your Space

Send us a few pictures or a quick video walkthrough of the room and rough measurements. We'll come back with an honest read on layout options and a ballpark cost before you commit to anything.

Book A Free Site Visit

Our designer visits your home or office, takes accurate measurements, and discusses how you actually live and work in the space — before a single drawing is made. This visit costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Visit Our Rajkot Showroom

Walk through our showroom to see and feel the actual materials, finishes and furniture quality we work with. It's the fastest way to know if our style matches what you have in mind.

questions, answered

Interior Design FAQs

Do you design the interiors, or just supply the furniture?

Both, and that's by design. Our in-house team handles space planning and design, then the same pieces are manufactured in our own workshop — so there's no handoff to a separate vendor, no mismatch between what was designed and what actually gets built, and no third party to blame if something needs adjusting later.
We primarily work in solid sheesham and select teak, along with marine/BWR-grade ply for engineered pieces. Material, finish and fabric are all choices you make with our design team, based on your budget, the room's conditions and how the piece will actually be used day to day.
It depends on scope, but most single-room projects run 3–5 weeks from final design approval to handover, and a full home naturally takes longer depending on how many rooms are involved. We'll give you a realistic timeline once the design and material list are finalised — not before.
Almost always. Size, wood, finish, fabric, storage configuration and hardware can all be adjusted on most designs — the showroom piece is a starting point for the conversation, not the only option available to you.
Yes. Manufacturing defects in materials, joinery and hardware are covered. Ask our design team for the specific terms for your project, since coverage can vary slightly depending on the material and piece type involved.
Our showroom and workshop are based in Rajkot, and while most of our projects are homes and offices across Rajkot and nearby Gujarat, we've delivered pieces further afield too. Get in touch with your location and we'll let you know what's possible.
Reach out to our design desk directly — most post-installation issues, like a sticking drawer, a hinge that needs tightening, or a small fit adjustment, are minor and we'll send someone to sort it out. It's covered under the same relationship that got your project built, not a separate support process.
